Good for a review of anatomy

I really love this book, however it is not supposed to be used as a replacement for a regular anatomy med school class notes. I compared it with my class notes and there are several very important things that were missing from this book that I really felt should have been in there. For example, there are virtually no lymphatics mentionted except very obvious lymphatics. The thyrocervical trunk had branches missing or was placed in a completely different chapter than head and neck. Pterygopalatine fossa and infratemporal fossa section were laid out in a confusing way where i felt could have been explained easier. I found I had to add a LOT of stuff to this book and as a result I felt like I couldn't use this as a primary source in medical school. However it is good at directing you to the most important things for each section and often has useful muscle charts/tables. Having a picture right next to the text was also very helpful. Howevr this doesn't replace the need for a good anatomy atlas like Thieme's or Netters. It's good for a review for anatomy, and perhaps an undergraduate course, or a supplement for medical school anatomy.

Awesome, awesome Anatomy Book

I have had 6+ anatomy courses and this is by far the best book out there. The book is clear and concise with a picture of almost every topic. It includes key pathologies in each section. It can serve as a review book, but covers all the important details enough that it really helps as a study companion for anatomy class. It has especially great sections on the cranial nerves. I have been able to use it for both Gross Anatomy and Neuroanatomy.
I would recommend this book for undergraduates as well as medical students (or anyone that needs a good understanding of anatomy). Great buy.

I'm currently in Medical school, and this book has been incredibly useful in previewing and reviewing the material before and after each week. When test-time comes, my classmates are struggling to integrate all the information, whereas with this book, i feel like everything falls into place and I have strong retention. My test scores have gone up about 10 points after using this book between Unit 1 and Unit 2!
